CHICKEN ROLL WITH HAM AND CHEESE



Oven baked chicken goodness filled with ham and gooey cheese! This no fuss lunch or dinner is the perfect kitchen staple. Simple ingredients, great flavors and easy prep work. This chicken roll up is a simple and delicious meal that anyone would love!




INGREDIENTS

SERVES 4


2 LB. Chicken Breast 

2 Tablespoons Complete Seasoning “Sazon Completo” 

[my favorite brand is Badia]

1 ½ Tablespoons of garlic powder

1 ½ Tablespoons of onion powder

Salt [to liking]

8 Slices of ham 

8 Slices of cheese [gouda, cheddar, mozzarella, provolone]

2 Tablespoons of butter [room temperature]


 PREPARATION


 - Preheat your oven to 350 °F

 - Flatten your chicken with a really sharp knife about ¼ inch thick; the flatter the better.

 - Season both sides of the flattened chicken with the complete seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder and salt.

- Place your slices of ham onto the chicken first, then place the slices of cheese on top of the ham. [ see video demo]

 - Roll your chicken starting from the far end of the tip. Roll it until you get to the end. Tuck the ends in and continue with the second breast.

 - Grease your baking sheet with your butter making sure to leave a bit of butter for the tops of the chicken roll.

 - Place the rolls into the oven for one hour.

- Once cooked, take it out of the oven and set it aside. 

 - Let it cool for 7-10 minutes, you want to make sure it’s cool enough to touch. Slice to your desired thickness and serve!
